Lubbock, Texas

To take advantage of a free place to crash, Taylor and I will stop in Lubbock to stay the night with my sister and her husband. We won't be spending too much time in Lubbock, but we'll have enough time to stop by the Buddy Holly statue and pay tribute to one of rock and roll's youngest pioneers.

Adios Frankston!

Today, Taylor and I embark on our first road trip ever, and our first road trip together! We leave behind Texas, our hometown, college, and work, for an opportunity to gain independence and perspective, growing as individuals and together as friends. One thing we'll be taking with us along our journey as a small Texan memento, is its motto --friendship. We're just two small-town ladies hoping to exchange our daily grind for two splendid weeks on the open road. No matter what happens, we'll have our friendship to depend on.
